The President of the Audit Bureau of Jordan, Mr. Asem Haddad, inaugurated today the first workshop of the twinning project with the Polish Supreme Audit Institution (NIK)

The President of the Audit Bureau of Jordan, Mr. Assem Haddad, inaugurated today the first workshop of the twinning project with the Polish Supreme Audit Institution (NIK).

Haddad said during the opening that the twinning project consists of three main axes, the first of which is the axis of Improvement of the AB’s capacity to apply a risk based audit approach for both the financial and the compliance audits in accordance with INTOSAI auditing standards and best practice

Haddad added that the first activity was devoted to review and update the audit manual and related guidelines aligned with INTOSAI standards and best practices.

For his part, the Secretary-General, Mr. Ibrahim Majali, welcomed the Polish experts, calling on colleagues to make the most of the experience of the Polish SAI, considering that this workshop will be interactive between the two parties and will contribute to upgrading the audit work, pointing that the Audit Bureau is always keen to develop its human resources.

The project manager, Dr. Bilal Okasha, pointed out that an icon for the project has been created on the Bureau official website, where it is possible to view the latest news and activities of the project. Okasha also noted that the project will target all employees in all audit field units to prevail the benefit.

In turn, the head of the Polish team and the project manager, Slawomir Grzelak, expressed his gratitude at his presence in the Audit Bureau of Jordan, stressing that the Polish SAI has previous experiences in the field of cooperation with the supreme audit institutions in (Georgia, Kosovo, Albania), explaining that the twinning project with the Audit Bureau of Jordan will be beneficial. for both parties.
